200-Hour Training Program

​​Global Vinyasa provides a 200-hour training program that fulfils the Yoga Alliance standards. Students who complete trainings with Global Vinyasa are equipped to lead a safe and successful yoga practice with confidence, and are eligible to register as an RYT 200.

What you will learn in the 200-hour Certification Program:
•Asanas, pranayama and drishti
•Yoga anatomy and physiology as it applies to yoga
•History and lineage of yoga

•Chakras, nadis and theory of kundalini and how they relate to yoga

•Health/Nutrition, exploring ayurveda
•Philosophy of yoga including: Upanishads, The Yoga Sutras and The Bhagavad Gita

•8 Limbs of yoga

•Sanskrit pronunciation, understanding root words

•Mudras and Bandhas

•Understanding hot yoga, heat and sweat

•Koshas and Doshas
•How to safely and effectively assist, adjust and modify yoga poses 
•Sequencing/Timing- designing a creative and meaningful class
•Teaching Methodology, dialogue, practical teaching with others

•Exploring Surya Namaskara A, Surya Namaskara B, Ashtanga and Yin 
•The business of yoga
•Daily meditation practice and techniques
•Emergency situations

This is more than simply a program to gain a teaching certification - this is a program that will push boundaries and encourage you to evolve. Designed to ground and enhance your practice while learning how to safely and effectively guide others in theirs. 

Enrollment Steps

  1. CONTACT US: Email with any questions you have about the teacher training programs.
  2. SUBMIT APPLICATION:  Fill out the training application (request application at  Spaces are limited.
  4. RECEIVE ORIENTATION PACKET: Once application has been accepted, you will receive your Training Orientation Packet. This will contain a Training Agreement, required reading list, pre-requisite work and other important information to get started.
  5. SUBMIT TRAINING AGREEMENT: Fill out and return the Training Agreement included in the Orientation Packet.

  • Students are responsible for books and materials.  Mats provided.
  • Students are responsible for all travel and accommodations.

SUPYOGA Certification

The Songkran Festival, "Water Festival" is a national holiday in Thailand marking the beginning of the Thai New Year.  Derived from the Sanskrit work samkranti, which means astrological passage.  It is a traditional Buddhist festival, and always a highlight of this training.
